How to use PATS Module Initialization function

As you can read in the first post there is no such function for your car.

Duratorq TDCI engines of the same models have no Module Initialization functions

This function exists for "Duratorq DI" engines only. I guess this means TDDI.

hi , does the new built in pats function work with this now ie twin numbers ? have a focus c-max to do next week and have to replace pcm , l take it l only need to do option 3 ? autokeyprog.com seems to have be down for awhile

Module initalization function is used here when instrument cluster (HEC or IC) and/or PCM module is replaced.

If HEC/IC or both HEC/IC + PCM are replaced, the following sequence of actions should be performed:

i. Erase all keys (Single coded or timed access have to be obtained)
ii. Program at least 2 new keys
iii. Do module initalization (Dual coded access may be required)

if only PCM is replaced, the steps (i) and (ii) are not necessary, and only step (iii) have to be executed.

i would know if forscan is first programming key in PCM module and then there is a synchronisation with IC, or if it programme key in IC module.

I used ForScan to program a new key for my 2010 F150. I lost one of my originals. I spent $25 US for 2 new keys and fobs.

I want to add a note. The keys have to be cut first. I took mine to a hardware store and gave them $3. When a blank key is mentioned in these articles, it means the transponder. Keys being programmed have to be able to turn the ignition on.

The process itself is super easy. Erase all known keys and then program two new ones. My truck gave no indication anything happened until the entire process was complete.

Doing the fobs was routine and no problems.

Hello, I have a Ford Fusion USA 2016 year wants to program a new key but in modules I do not have PATS (forscan extended version 2.3.17, interface vscan stn1170 elm327v3) deleted profiles, I changed the version of forscana nothing helps how to turn module pats?

all fords made after late 2016 will require ford dealer for pats programming as it requires online access and login details .
same may be true of some early 2016 models depending on producion line changes , only way to know is to use forscan and look for the pats option in the modules list .

I bought an extended license of forscan to reprogram the modules following replacement of injection pump on focus 2002 TDdi. Unfortunately it does not work. It puts me "access denied" or "out code not correct", I see on the tutorial of your site that there is the possibility of using PATS LOGIN CALCULATOR V1, but I can not find anywhere. I tried login calculator on the internet which gives the code in from the code out, but it is not recognized either.

Please help me ... the car has been immobilized since ...

I have a 20112 F150 that I bought second hand in June of 2019. The unlock did not work on the key/fob. I purchased after market keys and had the cut at Home Depot for less than $5.00 together. I then programmed both new keys by the standard method. This worked great!

Then I found out I could add remote restart by purchasing 11 thru 14 F - 150 OEM Genuine Ford remote Starter Kit from Amazon. It is plug and play, comes with 2 new keys for the remote start and installation took less than 10 minutes. I found a video on YouTube that helped.

After programming the 2 new keys, all 6 keys started the truck, GREAT! However the 4 old keys all worked on the fob, but the new ones didn't, I guess there is a limit to fobs, but not admin keys? I never did find a way to just delete 2 keys, but I did find the PATS service function in FORscan. This service procedure saved me from having to go to the dealer and pay big bucks.
Also the Forscan helped me to program my new Trailer Brake Control and the Remote Start.
