I’m having something similar but not ear as bad. I have a plug & play in my F150 and after months I believe it’s a faulty power wire. I’m running a new line to the battery and if it doesn’t work I’m trashing it.

The 9 speaker system has a "premium" amp in the left side of the driver footwell. This system activates the amp for ANC and engine noise even when the stereo is off. Try using Forscan to turn off ANC. You can also locate and remove the pins for the mic feedback ANC at the harness to the AMP. I have audible shhhh noise through speakers even when stereo is off and I strongly suspect the factory Amp interplay with the ANC Mic input line in. If there are any Forscan experts, is there a way to adjust the gain on the factory amp to reduce speaker noise? Unfortunately, some of the Forscan settings and advice on this topic are for the 12 speaker "Shaker Pro" system which has additional outputs to an optional rear bass in the trunk. Try unplugging and replugging the wire harnesses into your amp to see if they are loose or not making contact. I'm not sure of the ground location for the amp, but that would be another thing to check.

Made the same change to my 25 f150 no volume now as a result! And I’ve reverted all changes back to ab! Mine has the 8 speaker B&O!
