The bug is that ForScan does not report that it has failed, it just stops at 8%, then does nothing. There are many bugs like this present in Forscan.billchurch wrote:Stimpy, you have anything to back that statement up? I just tried with an "aftermarket" camera and it only made it to 8%. Trying it with the original, though non-working, camera it would successfully complete every time.stimpy88 wrote:It’s a bug in ForScan.fordrewls wrote:I'm also having the same issue faulting our at 8%. I do have an image, but it's upside down. I'm assuming the part number is invalid,EB5Z-19G490-A, when should be this BB5Z-19G490-A. EBay seller stated compatibility but I'm sending back and trying the BB5 camera.

Hey did you guys ever figure out a solution to this? It's driving me nuts! I have tried an aftermarket camera and then ordered a replacement directly from ford. No luck with either of them and it fails at 8%

Re: Code: B115E - Camera Module
No updates, other than there was something about using non Ford parts... But ForScan still quits without explaining why? If that's true, then that's pretty bad to be honest. Also, if you are using a genuine Ford Camera, then the problem is, once again, a bug in Forscan. Many of the service routines end with failure when using any version of Forscan made in the last year or so, I ended up having to use another program to clean the mess ForScan made of my IPC and BCMi module configuration a few months ago. I don't know how to report it anymore, as there is/was no English presence in this forum to report to the devs.
But the development of this software has all but stopped anyway, they only seem to focus on adding mostly American cars, and adding service routines which should have been there from day 1 for other cars and models.
Most of us have given up hoping for the new UI, Powershift calibration, firmware updates etc...
I wish there was a viable alternative, but it's either Russian daylight robbery with trying to buy tokens, and having to use unknown hardware boxes plugged in to your car, and no support, or paying for a real Ford IDS licence and adaptor...

Man that’s unfortunate. I was hoping someone would have said they took it to the dealership and had a solution haha
Re: Code: B115E - Camera Module
I did notice it wants me to program in MS switch setting but IPMB is listed under the HS? Maybe that’s the problem? It would only affect 2016 models since the 2011-2015 models use BdyCM module instead?
Re: Code: B115E - Camera Module
Hey just an update. The wire assembly that runs through the hole into the inside of the rear panel is likely the culprit. I had severe corrosion and I’m in the process of replacing it now. Half the wires were corroded on the connector and half were fine. I’m assuming that’s why I could reset but not program it.

Yes, I have heard that the problem most people have with the camera intermittently working, is due to the fact that the camera control module in the boot is badly earthed.
I have heard that attaching a secondary earth also is a permanent fix to this issue.
There is at least one video, made within the last 9 months or so, from a British guy showing you how to fix this on the Mondeo, in a video on YouTube.

Got a link for that video.
Also how do you reconfigure the camera with forscan.
I’m getting B115E in IPMB bus signal/message failure
And C1001 vision system electrical failure in APIM

Re: Code: B115E - Camera Module
I was able to fix my rear camera on my 2016 F250. My tailgate was stolen and after I replaced the rear camera with a new one the fixed and moving guide lines were missing. I was also unbale to zoom in. The DTC i had stored was B115E:55-0A. After i connected with OBDLink EX (usb to OBDII) I ran Forscan. Under the wrench icon I selected “Local Interconnect Network New Module Calibration” under BdyCM. After it ran I cycled the key to off and back to on as instructed. Both fixed and moving guide lines are now present and the zoom function is now working. Hope this helps.
Re: Code: B115E - Camera Module
The rear camera of my Ford Edge 2014 Limited works perfectly sometimes but not at other times. I am getting the diagnostic code C1001:01-2A on scanning with an OBDII scanner. Should I need to replace the camera module or is there any other possible way to solve my issue. Since the cameras works perfectly sometimes, I just want to check all options before I finally decide to purchase a new camera module, simply for the fact that its a bit expensive part. Please help
