@FORScan Are those options available now? I also have a 2005 F250 Superduty Powerstroke 6.0 Turbo Diesel.

Would love those options ( Cylinder contribution test )

Just discovered forscan and so far it has been amazing. Power Balance and relative compression tests would be a HUGE help .Especially for diagnosing misfires. Hopefully these are in the works.

I know it has been a while since this post was made, but I have access to a 2004, 2006, and 2007 F250/F350 6.0 trucks. I'll see about getting logs for all of them and sent in.

A true injector contribution test (all 8 injectors on a graph, showing individual fueling) is invaluable on the 6.0 Power Stroke engine.

The 6.0 Power Stroke is getting very popular for maintaining and modifying in the USA, and FORScan is starting to get noticed, the only piece it is missing is that single test. If there is anything I can do to help just say the word.

For those who don't know. The 6.0 has 3 "versions" in the F-Series trucks. The 2003.25 - 2004.5 version. The 2004.5 version, and the 2005-2007 version. The Ford Coffee Table books detail some of the code changes, but not the tests.

So if I'm reading right, FORscan does NOT have the ability to run the power balance test to check for misfires? I have a 2011 Expedition 5.4L 3V and was hoping to be able to run the power balance test using FORscan.

This thread is speaking specifically about a test regarding the Power Stroke 6.0L engine, the gas engines have different tests, so I wouldn't assume anything in this case.

Just wondering if this test was ever added to the Forscan software? It is invaluable for Ford diesel engine owners like myself. I have a 2003 Ford Excursion with 6.0 Powerstroke engine. I have a misfire and rough idle. This test would help narrow where the true problem is I think.

I will be trying the software this weekend via laptop and Bluetooth connection (yes I have read up on the connectivity issues)

In the change notes I found this:
Note: this function was removed in 2.1.16 as non-working on many models, now it is fixed, improved and tested
+ New PIDs for HEV vehicles (CHARGELIM, DISCHARGELIM and some others)
+ Direct access to USB ELM327 trough FTDI D2xx (for adapters that have FTDI chip on the board)
+ New tests "KOEO Injector Electrical Self Test" (so-called "buzz test", "KOER Cylinder Contribution Self Test", "KOER Switch Self Test" for Powerstroke engines

Can anyone from Forscan comment please on the availability of the cylinder contribution test availability or possibly when it may be available? If any logs will help I will export and send.

Thanks!

Well, those tests are not in there so the online documentation is wrong.
Forscan did help me diagnose my #8 injector as bad, but the CCT test would definitely be a big help on these engines.
