Hey guys! I would like to buy an adapter that is compatible with iOS and Windows. Is there such an option?

I am asking because I'm planning on starting with checking my car (Fiesta MK8 1.0 ecoboost) from time to time with an iOS-device and later purchase a used laptop because right now I'm kinda on a tight budget.

This adapter is showing all over aliexpress and amazon, and should be the same as OBDLink MX...
But there is no info what chip is integrated in the adapter.
have this a STN chip as in the OBDLink or CCY adapters?

I just recieved my vLinker MC+ and it works perfectly fine. Reads HS and MS Can with no Problem and has a very stable and pretty fast connection. Delay to ForScan on PC was ~5ms if i remember correctly

Does ist run on Windows or iOS/Android?

I got the MC+ BT4.0 Variant (https://de.aliexpress.com/item/4001245548416.html). It worked fine with Android, and also when i connected it to my PC (though I didnt try to do anything major like flashing software or configuration/programming). The connection seemed very stable (no disconnects like with my cheap clone adapter) and no issues reading MS-CAN

OBDlink EX is recommend by Forscan. You can buy it on amazon or direct from Gendan. Gendan are the UK distributor for OBDLink and yes, I checked with OBDLink in the USA.

You sometimes find it's cheaper to buy from Amazon.com as opposed to uk. Links below. I don't see any point in buying from Amazon UK because you will see it's sold by Foxwell which is Gendan. Don't forget to join kugaownersuk.

Hi! Has anyone got any experience with using the vLinker MC or FD versions with FORScan, especially for programming purposes? I see that FORScan now recommend the FS (USB) version as a viable/good product but can't fine much mention of the MC or FD versions other than above.

I was hoping for a device that would allow for on-the-go BT monitoring of OBD sensors whilst also reliably allowing some minor FORScan tweaks.

If that is all the programming you plan to do and all you are going to do is read and clear DTC's it will probably do that but it is likely a Chinese Made clone(many of these do not follow OBD2 standard Specs) as anything at that price and under usually is. Those of us that have been around this for awhile "have been there","done that", "not going back"! I would not use use wireless for any thing other than live data while driving or diagnostic work!
Also any adapter that purports to be "Forscan approved" or uses the Forscan name is using it without Forscan approval!

If the ScanTool OBDlink products(EX wired or MX+ wireless with no external switch as they switch internally and faster) are available in your country then an investment in those are probably a better idea!

The choice is up to you! Hope this helps?

You get what you pay for with these things usually!
