Anyone have the “As built” data sheet for a 2006 Ford Explorer 4.0 L? I need to turn off the “park aid” function which my truck does not have but after my PCM/instrument cluster was changed/programmed by a shop Forscan has revealed DTC’s related to lost communication with parking assist control module

Update:

I managed to obtain through Ford the module build data (As-built) using the vehicle’s VIN and through ForScan i have access to the As-built data of each module. Looking through the IC module data there are numerous differences in each of the codes

Considering that my stock PCM was replaced with a used unit, would it be safe to edit all modules and enter rhe data as per the As-built data sheet Ford has provided?

I have coded/flashed BMW DME’s but not a Ford PCM and would appreciate any input to know if its safe to do or if anyone can pinpoint what exactly needs to be edited for the disabling of the park aid function

Upon request i can make the As-built information

Regards,
Mark
[When using Ford as built data on a PCM, that will program the PCM with the vehicle configuration that was used on that vehicle when it left the factory.]

Hi,
I believe it only shows the injector coding, if the engine requires it, I recently done an injector on the 1.4tdci fiesta 2007 and injectors on this model donor need coding.

I pulled my "as built" data for a 2010 F150 from Ford and the file name has an extension of xxxx.ab rather than xxxx.abt. Do I just rename the file or do I need to do something else? Thanks

Or is there another way to solve/bypass the lock?

based on the what they said, I guess the only way is to change the module

4. Sync 3 (APIM module) sends its configuration changes to Ford. So if you change something there, Sync will send these changes when connects to the Internet, and after some time you can see them on Motorocraft site. So far there are no known outcomes of this (like loss of warranty), but it is important to known anyway.

Is there any way to stop the APIM from connecting with ford? Why else would you need it to? Unless you wanted to connect to the sync app, I dont see a reason, am I wrong?

I noticed the dealer can also see my vehicle status and location at any time, existing codes etc. Im assuming thats part of it connecting with ford.

these are different points:

1) APIM send automatically some changes, like sw update, calibrations and map versions. This work now

2) TCU module send to Ford servers, information about DTC codes and something else. This help in case of support or random problems.

The only way to disable automatic sending of information is turn off TCU.

Hello, I'm looking for advice on a 2015 Ford mustang. I replaced the BCM but the new BCM has steering column lock module enabled but the car does not have that module. When trying to write asbuilt data I get the message ( Irrevesible data change detected You are trying to modify the block 726-22-02 byte #3). I’ve tried updating the BCM with FJDS but block 726-22-02 changes only partially and not to what as built data is. And after reprogramming the cab lights flash

Good evening, for my Mondeo Hybrid purchased used in 2024, I have several files downloaded from the Motorcraft website, one downloaded on December 16, 2024, May 11, 2025, and March 31, 2026. All the files have a different size in bytes, but with the Asbuild Explorer software they appear the same. Do you know the reason? Over time, I have performed several firmware updates with Forscan or configuration changes. I have a Sync 3 with TCU. Thanks.
