I am not sure, if this dcri400400 fits 2.2 engine in mazda 6. I see that this injector also fits into 1.5 diesel engine, so i doubt it could fit into 2.2. diesel engine?

Yeah my concern would be that if buying the other spec that the injectors will end up with the same issues. As i understand it the 1.5D suffered the same issues so maybe they manufactured a new injectors that solves the problems on all of them?

I think not. It's not all the injectors has a fault, otherwise there would be a lot of drivers with such huge problem. Just my observation...)

This one of the new injectors I had fitted showing the Denso/Mazda part number. They are not reconditioned but new, the whole job costing over £3000 before contributions by Mazda and Dealer and discounting due to it being charged at warranty rates which brought it down to £2000 and change.
I very much doubt if Mazda are going to be that generous now, particularly on a model that is no longer in production and it been found out that its a material issues by Denso, which Mazda seemed to be aiding and abetting.
The problem was random across the two models Cx5 and M6 both sharing the 2.2D engine and thus the same injectors.
If the smaller diesels were not affected then it is down to a batch of nozzles, a large one at that as it also covers several years from 2013 model year up to at leat 2016.

Hi all, sorry to keep reviving a dead post. I have come to the conclusion that my EGR may be responsible. When plugged into a scanner, EGR valve A is showing a 99% error, which I guess means it is stuck or the position sensor is faulty, I have a rough idle and poor performance at low speeds.
I was thinking of getting egr deleted, however, in the event that either of the two egr valves is stuck, this won’t help. I can easily blank off the egr valve if this is the case. If it is the bypass valve that is stuck then blanking the egr won’t matter right? The bypass valve goes straight to the intake right?
Can anyone tell me whether EGR A is the EGR valve or the EGR bypass valve?

The EGR valves could be stuck due to carbon build up, clear that thennsee how it goes.
I wouldn't blank them off.
You may also have an inlet manifold blocked with carbon also, this can be checked by removing the MAP sensor in the manifold.

I’ve had the intake walnut blasted and EGRs cleaned out. EGR operation seems to be normal again. Both EGRs when commanded 0% and actual position 0% show a 99% error, so it’s basically just showing a lack of flow and isn’t abnormal as they are both doing it? I’d be extremely unlucky for them both to be bad. Its in the garage now, they think it might be injectors like yourself. Hopefully that’s all it is and this saga will end.
Did you have any performance issues with yours? My acceleration in first gear feels poor after I’ve been sat in traffic. It’s very intermittent. Feels like a clutch issue almost but the revs aren’t going up like it’s slipping.
Thanks

Is your exhaust pressure sensor original or updated one?

Christian,
I didn't have any performance issues, the car went like a rocket, but fuel consumption was bad and got worse until they changed the injectors.
I might have said I was driving 500 mile round trips once a month sat on
70 mph most the way.
Depending on ambient temp and traffic conditions I can average 60+mpg now on the same run yet I never achieved anywhere near that from new up to the change.
I have heard of people having problems and changing the exh sensor marked above, but mine is the original. I would assume fault code P0472 would come up if the Exhaust sensor was faulty.
