I need to program the VIN into the ABS module I have replaced on my 2011 Fusion. Any tips? I'm hooked up to forscan but don't know what to program into it. The as build data is correct from the info I received from MotorcraftClockWorK wrote: Tue Jun 21, 2016 12:10 am If we need it, I can look into writing an AB to ABT converter. One .AB to multiple .ABT files. I just need to make sure all of the required data is available.

Re: Ford As Built Data Deciphering
Hello everyone! I need some help:
Is it possible to enable Traction Control, ESP and Hill Launch Assist in a vehicle with Forscan?
I have a Ford Ka/Figo/Aspire (the name depends on the market sold). It is a budget car based on the Ford Fiesta MK7, so it shares a lot of the components with it.
Mine is a intermediary version that has non of the options (also known as Ford Advance Trac bundle). But it has a Sync 2.5 screen. It is also a manual transmission. Year 2019, model 2020.
A friend of mine has a Titanium version, with Advance Trac and automatic transmission. Year 2019, model 2020 as well. Same engine.
Comparing the ASBUILT data, more specifically at the ABS/Traction control module, I see that mine, even though has no TC, ESP and HLA, has more options than his car. And now, I'm confused.
If you take a look at the image below, mine is the blue one, and the Titanium version is the green one.
How come this could happen? Is it possible for me to enable it? I'm almost sure that they share the same sensors and the same module and there was some time ago, and option of the Ford Ka/Figo/Aspire with MT and Advance trac, so I imagine this is not related to the AT version specifically.
Thanks a lot!
Best Regards

Re: Ford As Built Data Deciphering
The data of yours contains the VIN in ASCII text (put the numbers in a hex to ascii converter to see the results) in the 01-xx block. I would advice you to remove the image if you do not like to share that. I would recommend you get more data and compare it with other cars to find more differences, keeping in mind that if you see lots of 3x data in there it probably is a VIN (0x30 to 0x39 are the numbers 0 to 9 in hexadecimal representation of the ascii characters)vlovini wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2020 2:53 am Comparing the ASBUILT data, more specifically at the ABS/Traction control module, I see that mine, even though has no TC, ESP and HLA, has more options than his car.

Programming the VIN when swaping the ABS module is not enough. ABS is part of Fords PATS system and contains a copy of the keys.

Re: Ford As Built Data Deciphering
hello, I solved the activation of the remote start only I am not satisfied with the operating distance, more than 35 meters does not work ! how can i increase its operating distance ?Mister_MK5 wrote: Sat Sep 30, 2017 9:01 am Remote Start
To activate Remote Start, first you need a new key fob with start button (part # DS7T-15K601-EF or newer for Mondeo with 433 MHz).
Programming keys
Determine the backup slot of the passive key.
Place the first programmed key in the backup slot. Press the START / STOP button.
Wait for 5 seconds, then press the START / STOP button.
Extract the first programmed passive key.
Within 10 seconds, place the second programmed passive key in the backup slot, then press the START / STOP button.
Wait for 5 seconds, then press the STOP-STOP button.
Extract the second programmed key.
Wait 5 seconds, then place the unprogrammed passive key in the backup slot and press the START / STOP button.
After the procedure is completed, if everything was done correctly, the engine will be started if the passive key is in the backup slot, the buttons will not work on the key.
Now use Forscan to change the asbuilt-data
IPC
720-02-02 0000 X000
add 1 = Passenger Seat
add 2 = RS on
add 4 = Driver Seat
add 8 = Climate Settings
720-02-02 0000 0X00
add 8 = Rear Defrost
add 4 = Heatet Steering Wheel
Brings up options in settings-menu
BCM
726-22-02 000X 0000 0000
add 1 = RS on
RTM
751-01-01 0X00 0000
set to 1 = RS off
set to 2 = RS on
After writing back the new values, you have to do a manual reset of the three modules (or remove battery for a while). After reseting RTM the original keys won't work anymore (beside in backup slot), but now you can use the new key to open / close / start and remote start the car.
To switch back to default keys, just set RTM back to 1 and do a reset.
Forscan 2.4.2 , Obdlink EX

Re: Ford As Built Data Deciphering
I've been messing with this a long time. The As-Built config blocks are made up of individual parameters that, as some of you have already figured out, are of varying sizes, depending how many options or choices that parameter needs. I.E. two choices (on/off, available/unavailable, enabled/disabled, etc) only needs one bit, 3-4 choices needs two bits, etc. Some parameters are between one and 4 full bytes, such as if the value is a 32 bit float (decimal number) to hold some variable or state data. Sometimes they'll have a parameter use an entire byte just so they have the room to enumerate a long list of options, where the bit mask literally just means something like "option #27."
I've attached a breakdown of the APIM config options I've been working on. It's an older revision of the module, 2016 I think, but much of it is still valid in more recent revisions. It's just an example of how they've got parameters packed into those data blocks, and how editing these blocks in hex like we do with the as-built is so funky.

The key is poor quality, CHINA. So do I, one goes from a short distance and one from a long distance.ddg71 wrote: Sun Dec 06, 2020 4:54 pmhello, I solved the activation of the remote start only I am not satisfied with the operating distance, more than 35 meters does not work ! how can i increase its operating distance ?Mister_MK5 wrote: Sat Sep 30, 2017 9:01 am Remote Start
