How to recognize if your interface is original or from China. I bought in Poland and I paid a lot of green color
What interface did you buy?
I tried several cheap and expensive adapters until I bought Polish Viaken STN 2120 and it's the best green interface. Upon updating the firmware in the STN2120 chip to v5, it is fast, free of errors, freezes and crashes.

Hi. So i fitted the mod whats in the pdf ,relay etc... To the red board using pin 16 rts , if its on automatic , and plug it in to usb relay clicks 3 times bit delay than other 3 , but when i plug it in to the car( Mondeo mk4 2.0 tit x) everything goes mad , engine malfunction , aircon on off, start button not operating , i checked all connections and wires in it ,everything fine according to the manual , Funny thing if i plug it in to a renault and swich it whit the override switch to hscan it works fine , but if i leave it on hscan and plug it to ford same madness happens , before the mod it was working fine on hs , forscan recognise the adapter but wont see the car. Can someone help ? Is it something whit the rts line ? Thanks

Guys , I think i may have to follow this solution or also seek more advice. This is what comes up see attached photo. I am trying to do a PATS reset as i have lost my wife's only set of keys which i got a key code from Ford Australia to have keys cut to enter the car. I purchased a USB to OBD2 with a manual switch and now it is asking for auto switching . Is there any other way for example blue tooth etc. I have been reading post to find a solution.

Hello, good morning, this same adaptation will be possible to do it in a clone ELM327 with PIC 25K80 ????
following the same lines?

I would strongly doubt it and the PIC 25 chip is not the chip that needs the modification! Since this mod was done the RS232 USB to Serial chip has been changed and some have found the RTS Pin behaviour has changed and the relay will not switch between the busses in the way this mod works(See a couple of posts above)!
Also the this mod is not much faster switching than a manual switch is and FORScan has developed to the point where the only adapters that will work with FORScan must now have internal Buss switching as per the FORScan adapter recommendations on the FORScan Products Page(see also a few posts above)!
I have tried this and with the price of the parts needed and the problems involved in it (I ruined my OBDLink SX trying this), I would for the price just go and get an OBDLink EX or a vGate vLinker FS.
I can Guarantee you will be much happier!
