See if this helps ...Make sure the Car battery is full ...Disconnect the battery say for 1/2 Hour ...Reconnect and see if that works.

If your ford focus does not recognize your key the immobiliser light will flash and the car won't start. Try turning the key to the second position 4 times and then initialize the start mode to reset the immobiliser.

Hello,

So did some investigation today, I’ve reprogrammed the keys to the car the immobiliser knows now their is 2 keys, I still have the Immobiliser Active on the dash, I also have a Fault code on my BCM saying “LIN (Local Interconnect Network Line Bus C) I’m wondering what that means and if this is causing the error, also have ABS and traction light on dash. I’ve disconnected the ABS module and still dosent turn over, I disconnected the battery for a few days to charge it and still nothing the car dosent even turn over I can hear the fuel pump, I don’t know what else I can do. I’ve done a lot of research on this but I just cannot find anything if I cant do anything then I’m going to scrap the car

Hi, I replaced the ECU on a Ford Transit 2.2 TDCi Stage V and the PATS procedure at Module Initialization asked me to Incode, so far ForScan automatically generates the incode, do you have a solution to generate that code?

Afraid not! As from 2012 Euro Market, 2015 N/A Market the Incode could only be generated through an online PATS Ford Dealer Login account or Paid Etis account at Ford or a Paid NASTF Locksmith Login(huge amount of money as this requires posting a Bond)!

The FORScan PATS Service has been disabled in nearly all vehicles After 2015 Model Year as there is no Free Online way to obtain the Incode unless you have a Dealer Login at Etis(as you have discovered and apparently you have one that has not had PATS disabled) so FORScan saw no way to make it work in vehicles after 2015!

Did you mean actual physcial checking of the wires? If so, which connections should I look for? Those running from the OBD2 interface to ECU, and possibly to another module, wchich talks to PATS?

I have a 2005 Mazda 2 (UK), I only have one mazda key, and a blank key from ebay.
I am trying to use forscan to program a second key. However, I go to "PCM PATS programming".
I then select either "Ignition key programming", "Module Initialisation" or "Spare Keys programmable", Forscan then asks for security access, I press ok, then the service log prints the following:
[] Module returns incorrect outcode. It means the module is out of normal state.
[] Recommendatons:
-make sure there are no wire/connections problems between modules
-try to reset module using service function "Module Reset" (if avaible), or by disconnectiing the battery for 20-30 minuets
- try timed access (if availble)

I have tride disconnecting the battery for 30min, but still get the same issue. I also get n error and told it is not possible when i try to reset the module.

All this is done with the mazda key in the ignition, so nothing to do with the ebay key.
Can anyone help me getting my key programmed.
Hi man, did you manage to figure it out? Got same issue in my Mazda.

This website seems to work: https://www.fordradio.codes/pats/

I tried the 70B374 Outcode above abd the website returned the BBF8 Incode.

Re: Master Key error using known original key

Post by dwarfmarine »

Hi Folks,

Purchased a 4-button Key from A known reputable source as recommended through the forums here in an effort to create a spare key for my 2013 Escape(Canadian), as I only got 1 upon purchase - so I'm looking to just add the third key, but I don't have a second original to do the easy 'cycle and swap them quickly' programming

I have a 4-button remote, non-IA
Lock, Unlock, Panic and Power Tailgate
IPC/MyKey system shows 0 MyKeys (ie there aren't any valet or speed/volume restricted keys)
Scanning the module/s with ForScan shows 2 registered keys.

New flip-key was successfully cut (cycles and works in both door lock and ignition)
I have successfully programmed it for remote entry following the instructions that came with the key. ie I can get the doors to lock/unlock and open the trunk.

What I can't seem to do however, is get it to work in the Ignition to crank. I get a "No Key Detected" message (which is to be expected given the next snippet of info)

Now here's where Im having trouble -
When I open Forscan and try to program the spare key using the Ignition Key Programming function- I get a "No Master Key detected" message. This is with the Original, working 100% key in the barrel and used while running ForScan.

What seems to be my issue here? As far as I know its one of the original supplied keys, and as confirmed by ForScan 1 or 2 registered keys.
I've also run DTCs with the new spare and it returns DTC of B10D7:51, which according to the ForScan forums means "PATS Key ok - not registered"

I can't however, seem to find any info about my "Master Key" message
Any help would be appreciated!

Update: Success!!
I disabled MyKey as someone suggested in another forum in the IPC settings using ForScan.
That didn’t seem to work immediately, showing the same Master Key error but then I tried something different (which i didn’t try prior either)
Which was-
Ignition ON> clear DTCs> start PATS programming (Mater key error)> exit PATS leaving Forscan still connected> cycle/crank the Ignition to run for a few seconds before cycling back to ON and then trying the Ignition Program procedure again…
It’s almost as if ForScan needed the IPC to verify that my original key was a cranking key.
Also confirming that Escapes (at least 2013 4Button keys) need to be set using the Timed method (no alternative offered) which takes around 10minutes to do its thing.

Now, as I said, I hadn’t tried this specific procedure (cranking) before disabling MyKey so I’m not 100% sure whether or not it was the ‘Verification’ crank than worked or not having MyKey active.

hello,
my original, former problem was: I wanted to start my 2014 Mustang, but accidently pressed this f***n panic button.
Then this key was "damned" with the theft symbol in the dashboard.
Now I wanted to reprogram this key as regular key and followed the ForeScan instructions.
But - this may be the reason for the problems: I lost twice the connection while waiting the 12 minutes due to a problem with the "IDS" communication software. So this process interrupted.
After reinstalling the communication software ForScan worked well, I could erase the two keys and started the
"Ignition Key Programming option" process.
but then - with the master key, these messages came up:
"key already registered"
"PATS error, but counter of programmable keys was raised"
count of stored keys: 1

Now both keys show the theft symbol in the dashboard...........

What can I do now ?????

Thanks for any help.

I have a 2012 Ford Expedition, I've tried several attempts to erase all keys and program 2 new ones, bought at the dealer. Forscan will only program 1 of the keys. It will then go into theft mode! What am I doing wrong?
