I was just having a quick look on my ranger. if you go into PCM module configuration you can change the litres up to a maximum of 150L before it goes out of permissible range.shaunjones wrote: Mon Feb 13, 2023 11:04 am Has any one had luck changing on next gen ranger?. I changed the setting to 155L but dte still same , I tried changing sender from pcm to IPA but went to 1999 went for a drive and would not change so I put it back to pcm.
Any thoughts

Same problem with my 2023 F-350. I have not driven it after the reprogram but, I did no have to to anything with my 2021 F-250. It reset correctly right away.rojizostang wrote: Thu Nov 04, 2021 12:12 am I followed the instructions in this thread, however when I get to the tank size dialogue box, I find both gallons and liters are set to zero. I've made the switch from the 26 to the 36 gallon tank, and don't know what to enter in the appropriate areas for the software to write to the ipc or pcm.

F-350 SD Tremor package. I am having the same issue. After changing the tank size to 55 gal/208 ltr, my DTE is way off. Maybe it will reset as I drive and the computer gets an average mpg? I don't know.
When I did this on my 2021 F-250, it worked as advertised.
On the initial programing the Gal/Ltrs read 0.
Is there another parameter that needs to be set? Obviously, the DTE is getting calculations for something.

Re: How to use FORScan to adjust fuel tank size and DTE
I have a 2010 Ford F250 with 6.4l diesel with automatic trans. We changed fuel tank to a 60 gallon size fuel tank. We tried using the FORScan program to change the fuel size and it only goes up to 40 gallons and no area that we could find to write in a tank size. I am using OBDLink EX. It only shows IC not ICP on my end. How do we change the tank size to 60 gallons? TIA
Re: How to use FORScan to adjust fuel tank size and DTE
I just used this post to change my tank size from a 34 to a 55 and it worked great! The only issue I had was when I was in the middle of writing the program to the truck the truck just went dead and said the battery was low.. it scared the hell out of me. The batteries work fine I’ve never had a problem with them. I put my battery charger on one of my batteries and gave it a few mins and when I pushed the start button I heard a loud pop and the lights flashed then nothing. I thought oh crap I fried the computer and just popped a bunch of fuses. I left the charger on for 10 mins and it started right up! Only think it did was turn my amp steps off so I had to go into the infotainment center and turn them back on to auto.. not sure why it did that.

Has anybody come up with a solution on the 23 and up superduties not taking the adjustments?

Re: How to use FORScan to adjust fuel tank size and DTE
I’m trying to program my 2024 Super Duty for its new 60-gallon tank but this process you posted isn’t working. I’ve updated tank capacity to 227 liters/60 gallons but DTE didn’t change. I changed Fuel Level Source to IPC and DTE changed to zero (0) with a full tank? Anyone figure this out yet? I went through this process on my 2017 a few years ago and it worked great.
Re: How to use FORScan to adjust fuel tank size and DTE
I have a 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor, and yes it seems the DTC calculation (not the fuel gauge interestingly) uses the PCM fuel tank size instead of the IPC fuel tank size. The issue is Forscan doesn't yet offer an module configuration in human readable for the PCM on my vehicle.
Has anyone figured on the as-built addresses etc. for changing the PCM on this model? Or is there a human readable coming anytime soon for the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptors?

Re: How to use FORScan to adjust fuel tank size and DTE
I have a 2024 F250 with a 7.3L and recently replaced the stock tank with a TF 58gal tank. From reading through the forums, I see that I can change the fuel tank size on the PCM, but when I load the the PCM in "Plain English", I don't have the fuel tank parameter. What am I missing? I have it on the IPC. See attached...........
