Re: Where to buy a compatible adapter?
What do You think about interface for toyota & lexus mini-vci? It have j2534 and is compatibile with SAE J1850 PWM. I want use it for Mondeo mk3 '02 tddi. I have elm327 with bluetooth connection but I cant programm pcm. Is this possible that my elm is not compatibile with j2534?

I have Toyota mini-VCI but I can not use it with Forscan.( I use Xhorse driver, Windows 10 32bit on VM VirtualBox.) If anyone can use this with Forscan, please tell us in this topic.janekj1985 wrote:What do You think about interface for toyota & lexus mini-vci? It have j2534 and is compatibile with SAE J1850 PWM. Re: Where to buy a compatible adapter?
Hi yes that type of adapter is good for fords because it has the hs can and ms can switch.

Hi
According to the spec it does covers the standard ford protocol. The modules on the Hs can bus would be accessible but not the one's on the Ms can bus (no switch). Bluetooth devices can be a bit hit or miss if they work regardless of specifications. I have had some that have worked and some that have not. Hope this helps.

Thanks.
Just curious, if specs cover the MS CAN speed, 11*bit ID, 125*kbaud. Why do you need a switch?

Re: Where to buy a compatible adapter?
Ford uses an additional connection for MS-CAN on Pin 3 & Pin 11. This is not covered by standard OBD layout. So adapter needs to be modified for vendor specific diagnostics.
