Hello, I'm new to this whole thing. I just purchased an ELM 327 off amazon from a link I found in another forscan thread and am wondering if it is compatible. When I plug it into the computer, all I get is the single red light, but yet on the installation instructions on totalcardiagnostics for downloading drivers, it says all lights should come on then go to just the red light. My computer doesn't even appear to be finding this because when I click on device manager there is nothing that comes up for "other devices" Has anyone had any luck with the USB style OHP Elm Config from amazon? Or am I wasting my time with it? Please help

Just have a look here ...

Maybe this will help you

(If ELM327 USB isn't setup properly as per instructions below — then OBD software will not even detect the cable — let alone connect to the vehicle.)

I had a chinese, one of those little blue devices, bluetooth elm327 which worked ok, but I couldn't do a static DPF regeneration with it. So I have bought the bbfly bluetooth version and the first try at a static regeneration was succesful.

Hello to everybody.
Newbie to the forum and FORScan, expirienced with LEXUS/TOYOTA brands in OpenPort 2.0 protocol with the relevant software for these brands.
I own a Ford Ranger 2018 WILDTRACK 3.2 TDCi.
Will an original ELS27 V4 be compatible with the FORScan software?
As i've seen in this post, only Version 3 is tested.

I'm in need of a MS-Can capable adapter to do PATS on a 2007 Mazda CX-7,
What is the minimum elm327 version (according to ELM) I would need? 1.4 ok?

I tried several cheap and expensive adapters until I bought Polish Viaken STN 2120 and it's the best green interface. Upon updating the firmware in the STN2120 chip to v5, it is fast, free of errors, freezes and crashes.
Can be purchased directly from the manufacturer - only wholesale 5 or more pieces for shipment to other countries and payment in €

I knw this get asked a lot but I am a complete noob with these adapters

What do you guys think about OBDLink EX?

As per Forscan homepage update, the OBDLink EX is the perfect adapter that was designed specially for the ForScan software.

https://www.obdlink.com/ex/

I don't want to waste my time and money on an adapter that won't work with programming and quite possibly all the options Forscan has to offer
