I have a genuine VCM2 and a OBDLink MX. I used IDS 114.03 to update the DDM, PDM, and ACM on my 2017 Fusion Sport but for some reason when I pull the logs and run FORSCan to check the configuration, these modules still show the old filenames even though I went through the full updating process in IDS. The other modules I updated seemed to reflect the latest filenames.

I would love to be able to use FORScan to update firmware. The IDS 2-day license was $150!!

What I had done was start a new session and update the modules with IDS. Then a few days later I ran Forscan and looked at the configuration tab and found the DDM, PDM, and ACM listed the original filenames. Shouldn't Forscan show the new filenames?

You will need to create a new profile in forscan for it to pick up all the new changes. If not it is taking the information from your last profile creation.

Any details on the 2.4 beta?

Do we need a J2534 pass-through device to program HS-CAN and MS-CAN modules? Or can we use an ELM327? Or do we need a VCM2 as a J2534 pass-thru device?

I am able to use the VCX Nano from VXDiag with Ford's FJDS to program MS-CAN and HS-CAN modules. However, I was trying to push a newer calibration onto the GSM (Gearshift module) but it keeps reverting to the original calibration. Is there a way to force a newer strategy/calibration file using FJDS? I tried doing programming a new module installation, but it reverts back to the original calibration.

It would be fantastic if we could update the Firmware of the modules.
Does anyone know if the team is working on this feature and how far the progress is?
If there is a chance to get a preview I would really appreciate to get it.

Hi there,

I have done my first steps with this function and tried to flash the pcm module of a 2011 focus

Software taken from kc up to kJ and the result is fantastic.
Works well with forscan and elm.
Time was accurate. ForScan told 1 hour and it was 1 hour.
Next Test the ipc Module

Best regards

Karsten
