Ford Focus MK3 "reset all adaptation" function

In 2015, Ford dealer did same for me at Ford Mondeo mk4 1,6 TDCI 2011. I didnt know about this. Engine was not going well, but my mechanic told me that injectors will learn. This was true, after around 30 km it was done. Engine was working fine.

I was thinking that I can do it without issue, due this I reset injector learned values and try to learn again. It was same like before, but during this process engine malfunction appeared, engine was not communicating to gas pedal and I stopped engine. I found only 2 DTC - one something related to low catalyst temperature for regeneration and something with ABS communication.
DTC were cleared, but I was not able start engine. No crank, nothing, no DTC message. It is keyless system. Car was moved to Ford.
For my surprise car started, but in 2 sec stopped, this happened twice. I left Ford and called them after 3 days, they have no clue till now.

So from my experience, I dont try it again.

Czyli nie polecasz? A ktos jeszcze przeprowadzal ten prices u siebie? Wszyscy mowia ze silnik hest ten sam, sterownik takze powinno dzialac. A silnik miales rozgrzany? Ja mam standardowy system kluczykowy, jesli to ma znaczenie

Bufer (member of this forum, he posted same issue like I have) replied to my message. He didnt finish learning process and next day was not able to start engine. After 2 second engine stopped.

Bufer wrote me: "Ford dealer told me if are injector parameters too bad, IDS is not able to initialise learning process and PCM control system stop crackling to prevent engine from damage. In my case problem was solved by reseting PCM and successful learning process. If not possible probably new (or renewed) injectors are needed"

It was mentioned in this forum and in one Italian forum, that engine must have optimal temperature, rpm must go from 2500 to 1500 and so on.
If some DTC will appear during this learning process, engine will probably stop learning process. I think due high knocking, PCM will stop your engine to prevent damage.

In this case we need reset PCM module and reinitialize learning process again.

Podlaczylem forscan i przejechalem sie tak jakbym robil nauczanie (tylko ze nie wyzerowalem ich wartosci) faktycznie pidy PICL_INC_C1-C4 wzrosly u mnie do ponad 800, natomiast pidy INJ_LRN_C1-C4 cały czas miałem na 7 bo jak wspomnialem Nie wyzerowalem nauczonej dawki pilotazowej. Troche sie boje ze nie uda mi sie wykonac tego procesu. Tak czy inaczej jak auto pokrece do 3000 rpm to wywala mi takimi błędami PCM DTC P02D3:00-6C na cylindrze 1,3,4. Jakies rady od Was??

I read few post about this at many forums, but it seems that reset all adaptation will not help with error "P02D3:00-6C". Those people did it, but they still have same errors from time to time or later. Maybe it is not issue which you need to care so much, but if you would like to be sure, just take your injectors to special service. They will tell you, if there are fine or not.

Dokladnie to mi chodzi NIE o resetowanie wszystkich adaptacji ale o Reset pilotazowej dawki wtrysku. Błąd masz racje czasami jest czasami go nie ma, pojawia sie raczej w trasie jak pociagne auto na wyzsze obroty. Dlatego myslalem o resecie i nauczaniu wtryskow od nowa...

You can reset only injector learning values. It is not needed reset all adaptation values.
Anyway you can still have issue with DTC message P02D3:00-6C as I read in few threads. Mentioned in this tread, too. Relearning didnt help.

Czyli w sumie nie ma sensu resetowania wartosci wtryskiwaczy? A kiedy lub w jakich przypadkach to sie robi ?? A moje dodatkowe pytanie brzmi: czy w mondeo mk4 1.6tdci 115km z 2011roku proces uczenia jest taki sam jak w focusie 1.6tdci 115km??

You can try to reset correction of injectors, but probably will not help you with mentioned errors.
The process is same for mondeo and focus - it is same for citroen and peugeot 1.6 engine (i am not sure about older 1.6), but engine from 2011 and later has same process.

Ok dzieki bardzo, przemysle to, bo nie ukrywam ze boje sie troche tego procesu, ze po resecie cos pójdzie nie tak jak nalezy i proces uczenia sie nie powiedzie... Pozdrawiam
