Solved it by getting a blank key from uk locksmiths on Ebay for 42 quid and had it programmed by a local locksmith for 80 quid including blade cut. My key is now disabled

4. Remove keyfob from the car in case of keyless system (with engine start button). In case of standard blade key, you have to block the transponder (for example, wrap the keyfob with a foil).
5. Stop the engine (turn the ignition off)
6. Turn the igfnition On but don't run the engine.
7. Go to MyKey menu in your instrument cluster and execute Clear MyKeys option .

You now have MyKey removed.

Note: this was tested on cars with gasoline engine, not tested on diesel engines.

Tried the second solution (Disable MyKey options in IPC) on 2015 Fusion SE (Key blade). I was able get rid of the mykey alerts if you didn’t buckle the seat belt + sound limitations + traction control option became available) BUT the speed still limited to 80 Miles ;(

I returned MyKey options back to unable on the IPC + reset DTC then tried the PCM KOER test workaround but I wasn’t able to find MyKey menu to clear it unfortunately.

So I followed the steps but when I cover the key in foil my car come up with a message that says ‘Starting System Fault’

How do I get around this issue to clear the MyKey

I went through the instructions here and elsewhere and I couldn't get my MyKey setting cleared. I have a 2014 F-150 Lariat. I bought it with one key, and promptly went about setting the MyKey up before I left the lot. Ignorance is not bliss. Anyway, I purchased an ELM 327 blutooth adapter from AMZ, and a spare transponder key that I had cut to match at a local hardware store for $1. I have remote start on my transponder key.

After getting my Forscan instance installed on my Macbook (running Win10 in Bootcamp) I followed the instructions I found here:

This was tremendously helpful. I read through and followed the instructions, and it worked.

I did have one problem, however. Once the process was done, and the two programmed, working keys in hand, both would start the engine, and the MyKey setting off, the second (new) key would not remote start or unlock the doors. So, obviously the process to remove the stored keys and add new keys, doesn't effect the remote start or door lock/unlock. Has anyone else had this issue?

This is my first post, and I hope the information is helpful to someone having problems getting this to work.

I recently purchased a used Mustang GT 2015 Premium Performance Package that came only with one keyfob. The car starts with a push-button. While I was exploring the menus I stumbled upon the MyKey option. I thought « Why not create one! » without ever knowing all the nightmare it would induce. I lost all performance options including Track mode, Line-Lock, Launch Control and many other important features that the Premium PP1 offers. And the worst of all is that I could not revert back and clear that MyKey since I only had one key fob. I was desperate. More over I had a drag race coming in few days and could not use the track features. Fortunately the pony won the race anyways but with a much slower time and colder slicks. And last week I found this forum. I ordered this OBD2 module, installed FORScan, followed the workaround procedure provided in this forum and the MyKey is now cleared from my car's computer. Everything is back to normal with Track mode, Line-Lock, Launch Control, as if nothing ever happened. I'll never thank enough FORScan team and the smart user who gave us this workaround!

Here's what I did:
1. Install this version of FORSCan on a windows 10 - 64bit laptop.
2. Plug the OBD2 – USB module on the laptop. Windows recognized it after a few seconds. Toggle switch to HS-Scan. Keep laptop powered on and unplug module from usb port.
3. Step into my car, install the OBD2 module into the car port, then plug the module into computer usb.
4. Press car push-button without starting the engine.
5. Establish connection with FORScan and let the software read car data.
6. Once I made sure that a good connexion was established between the car and FORSCan I started the engine and let it run for a few seconds. Stop radio, shut windows, and keep steering straight.
7. In FORScan, click on the fourth button that contains test options and choose Key On Engine Running.
8. Launch the test and follow the on-screen procedure until the end of the test.
9. Open driver window, hold the keyfob outside and stop the car.
10. Press push-button to start the system without starting the engine while holding the keyfob outside.
11. Go in settings, MyKey and clear MyKey.
12. That's it!

I have Mustang 2016. Turned my 1 admin key into MyKey. I can do the KOER test option and remove the MyKey, but if I remove MyKey how I now turn car on? It is not like I have 2nd key.

Your MyKey program will be eliminated and your key fob will return to Admin state. You will be able to start your car with it like before. That's what I did and it works just fine.

I expected and hoped that will happen, but wasn't sure. So thank you for confirming that.
