Hello all, I'm looking to update the firmware on the PCM this weekend (Mk2 Kuga 2l Diesel Powershift).

I have read the current AsBuilt from my PCM and will save it first.

As far as I have read after updating the calibration/ strategy etc I have to re-load the original AsBuilt (it is not available from Ford).

What other steps do I need to do?, I don't really want to reset anything and then find out the car is undrivable!.

Cheers all.

The PCM is 4 versions newer BUT I still haven't done that one yet!.

I did our Powershift TCU and it does drive much better now (newer Strategy and Calibration). Took 5 mins tops for new firmware to go in.

I use a VCM2 (proper 2 board unit), and a decent 12amp battery charger to get the voltage up!.
