ive just received my obdlink ex ive plugged it into my pc as stated now what do I have to do it has a red light on ??

Thanks for reply I'm not sure about how to update it when its plugged in the desktop computer basically a step by step would be helpful dont want to knackered it up when its plugged into my tablet it has a yellow light on it does work on both my car and van turns green when connected

Use a Windows style laptop not a tablet.

I am using a desktop to plug it into to update would like a guide as how to do it

When I bought mine it had a white card with step by step instructions on it.

Download drivers from OBDlink
Install OBDWiz

I can post the details if your are not sorted. The light goes yellow when it has the right drivers and is ready to work.

I got the card but wasn't sure on actually putting drivers onto the obd ex but I should be sorted with the YouTube video given above

Having trouble now with getting firmware to upload
Its telling me
User action required to complete firmware update
1 unplug cables from device
2 wait at least 10 seconds
3 plug device back in
4 click upload firmware button

I'm doing all this but it just keeps coming back
I don't think its recognising or finding the obd ex

Any ideas
