Code P0607 and PCM reset?

2009 Ford Fusion SEL 3.0. Car either cranks but won't start, or runs for about 3 seconds and dies. Code P0607 PCM Performance. No codes related to coil packs.

Before I just go ahead and buy a reprogrammed PCM form Circuitboardmedics, is there any harm in doing a PCM reset? Or will it not even come close to fixing a "corrupted code" issue, which is one of the descriptions I read when I connected it to Forscan? I was running a tune for about 10 years with no issues using the xCal 3, and I was able to return the vehicle to stock using the X3. No change in condition.

A reset causes no harm.
Did you at least test the ignition keys? Are there more faults in the rest of the network?
Does their PCM require programming? FORScan can't program a PCM.

Thanks for the response. I tried to do the reset but it came back with a not supported error. I have two keys, doesn’t make a difference which one I use. Forscan also shows a P2105 and P1674 code, but this was because I tried to give it some gas after it started. (It either starts and runs for a few seconds then dies, or just cranks/no start).

I would use one of the places that either repairs your PCM or sells you a replacement programmed to your vehicle, and I would just have reprogram the PATS keys on Forscan.

Hi:
I know this is an old post, but I'm having the exact same problem and codes.

I checked all wiring, relays and grounds as best as I could and am about 90% certain it is the PCM....just wondering how it turned out for you.
Was it the PCM and were you able to successfully use Forscan to change the VIN and reprogram the keys?

Thank you.
