Anybody tried the VXDIAG VCX NANO available for around $100 and works with IDS? Does it work with FORScan?

Its the same as VCM2 with a single board (which is very bad clone of VCM2).

what's the difference between this $100 VXDIAG VCX NANO and VCM2 (clone)? My knowledge is the vxdiag is allowed to be updated online but vcm 2 clone will not.what else?

Received a VCX Nano in the mail yesterday, but didn't end up needing it. By the time it arrived, the features I needed were added to ForScan and worked with my OBD Link MX.

I don't imagine I will need this thing for a long time. I haven't tried it with IDS, and probably won't until I have a serious need to.

If anyone is near Detroit and wants a VCX Nano to play with, I'm willing to part with it.

I realize the inexpensive VCX and VCM2 from China are clones but what makes them "bad"

Has anybody had a problem with them? If so what was the problem? Never worked at all? Not reliable? Missing features? Failed after a few uses?

My clone vcm was able to update the modul online.
The single board is known to brick module since it doesn't have complete chip on it.

Story with any clones is very similar (no matter if it is cheap ELM327 or expensive VCM2): first clones are often OK, then china guys start to clone the first clone, then clone the second clone and so on. At the end nobody knows what's the quality of the hardware arrived so nobody can guarantee anything.

Besides, some people complain latest versions of IDS blocks the clones (so they stop working after VCM firmware upgrade IDS offers).

Well, I just took the chance and bought one.
Couldn't figure out how to get WiFi working on it, so I installed the driver
for USB and used USB instead.
Forscan detected it as J2534, and no errors was reported.
It didn't find as many modules as my Vlink adapter does, but it had
the same missing fuel trims for bank 2 for my Scorpio 24V

One hurdle with this device though - it is almost impossible to connect it
to the Scorpio, because the plug is a bit hidden, and this device is very big.
Anyone buying it should consider, if a small OBD2 extension cable is needed too.

I sent a PM too - def. interested and am local - still got it / willing to sell it? Ordered one online too - but too impatient to wait for it to get here and have a pressing need to configure a module.

Doesn't the VCX NANO support MS-CAN? Why does it not find all the modules?
