My first post but finding concrete answers was so impossibly hard i hope that i can help folks out who google this. So key words, 04 expedition forscan ELM327 bluetooth OBDII OBD2
Ok, just got a BAFX 34t5: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005N ... UTF8&psc=1
IT WORKS. I can access the abs module and most everything. I may buy a OBDLINK mx to see if there's any hidden stuff in MS CAN but this year supposedley only used J1850 PWM. Most ELM327 devices are junk and don't talk to older fords like my 04 (trust me, tried a couple).

Another thing to note: If you have abs codes you want to clear? MAKE 100% SURE you check the "modules" box. It's default to "all". This has caused me a flashing traction light and and ABS light along with another code i've yet to look up.
If i can't recalibrate it with Forscan Ford will do it for 90 bucks, the tech i spoke with new exactly what i had done by accident and how to remedy it.

Just some info for you guys with 2nd gen Ford Expeditions on a part that actually works. You also can't go wrong with the obdlink mx, albeit at 4 times the cost(still cheap if you ask me) but i wanted to experiment and see if this BAFX works and it's good to go

*I'm using windows 7 laptop via bluetooth
