Geo-blocking issues

In the past Russian host facilities, including the one FORScan is located on, are blocked by many Internet and mail providers in the Europe. The nature of the blockage may be different, from complete connectivity blocking to DNS blocking and mail refusal. In some EU countries thes problems are massive enough to prevent normal work of the FORScan services and providing delivery of FORScan products. Considering the above, we have to temporarily stop selling licenses in these countries.
Here is the list of countries we temporarily don't sell FORScan licenses in :
China - due to multiple attempts to crack paid FORScan services
Finland - due to blockage of the FORScan server by popular mail services in this country
Germany - due to DNS and mail blockage of the FORScan server by popular mail services in this country
Ukraine - due to complete FORScan server blocking
Only sales are affected - the FORScan server itself, free licenses etc are still avaialable in these countries.
We will resume the sales it as soon as the geo-blocking issues are resolved.

A Forscan Facebook group member Ayham Kutit has a work around(PAY PAL payment only) detailed here:

I recently bought a 2007 Lincoln MKZ. I wanted the keyless entry code, which as some sites have noted can be found on the under dash fuse panel block. Yeah, if you are a midget contortionist with a mirror and a flashlight. In my car's case, I could see the sticker but Lincoln actually put it BEHIND a plug so as to make it unviewable. As if someone who got into your car already needs the code? Fucking Factory Ford idiots.
Trying to get the code without going to a dealer, I came across Forscan. Wow, what a gift! I do wonder if the creator was aware of the English word "Foreskin." As in the penis part. And I've heard a lot of Youtube guys slur it to "foreskin." Anyway....
I needed the extended license to access the door code function. I did try the free two month code, in fact, numerous times, but the system never returned it. But I wanted the code and due to intertube sleuthing, I came across this forum and then the services of Ayham Kutit. I'd rather have gotten the trial license for free, but I would pony up the $33.
I can confirm the transaction went smoothly and all done in less than 15 minutes. I would guess it might take longer if he was sleeping.
I doubt if I will ever need Extended Functions in the future, but it's always good to stick it to the man. I.e., dealers.
On a barely related note, I got the car with only one key. Ford will not let you clone it in the car unless you have two of them. But I found a locksmith that was able to do it for $20. She spent 3 or 4 minutes, came back in and announced success. I asked her how she did it and she showed me an Autel device. Autel make automotive scanner stuff from cheap DIY OBD scanners to $4000 shop units. The key cloner is about $500. So if you were told that I had to have the dealer do it ($$$), look for another locksmith. Once you have two working keys, you can make up to 6 more in a 30 second process.

Well English is not my native language and, to be completely honest, my English is not good. However, majority of FORScan users are native English speakers and I don't remember that anybody mentioned this association (for almost 15 years!). Everyone speaks of what they know, what can I say...

Is it quite possible that the same geo-blocking issues that are described here, could potentially be causing issues where I'm no longer able to load my extended license? Basically, what I'm seeing is I load the extended license, it then provides me with an error stating that the hardware-ID does not match but that it will attempt to load the license anyway. Upon reloading, 50/50 chance it works for about a minute max but then ultimately comes back as "not having a valid license".
Fwiw, I'm in Canada. Would using a reputable VPN provider like Protonvpn help with these issues perhaps or is there potential to be black balled from the server for making too many requests under differente IP addresses?
I took a quick look under different threads, didn't see much other then this geo-blocking thread. So not quite certain. I've gone ahead and requested a new key, incase the key is the issue. So I suppose I'll find out if that's the problem or not...
Thanks a bunch!

Need to ask if this is for a two month trial or for a One year Paid license?
The process is different between the two! If you are attempting a Paid install it is possible the Geo blocking is the problem but from Canada it is not likely(I am from Alberta and have had no trouble)!
In both cases the license algorithm runs a Windows registry modification! In the Two Month trial the process is completely "Off Line" and Geo Blocking would have no affect on the process as long as the Hardware ID used in the Key request matches the Hardware Id of the individual computer! Unless there is a Registry error, the process should install without a problem(registry errors do happen in windows)!
The Paid uses a similar registry modification process except the algorithm sends an ID packet(using the IE/Edge web Browser settings) containing the Hardware ID of the computer and the Paid activation and registry key Octets to a server at FORScan and registers the Paid key set to that Hardware Id(You would see the Hw Id being set in a grayed out window when you enter the four Keys in the Activation field)! The Paid key has been known to be usable on three Hardware Id's!
However I would be more suspicions of registry errors or in the Paid case a problem with the IE/Edge settings, internet connection, not sending the registration to FORScan(there is FORScan post describing this process) , especially from Canada, rather than Geo blocking(I have an old XP laptop that is paid licence from Alberta using the old IE 11 settings)!
Poking around in Regedit is not for the faint of heart so I will not post the Registry keys as you can get yourself in a lot of trouble if you are not well read on the Windows Registry!
Just some ideas for what they are worth?

Well, I absolutely do appreciate the response on this issue! Unfortunately, I'm a moron and I've completely wasted your time! I truly do apologize!
As far as I could tell, I believe the free "extended" license was simply expired. Me being the genius that I am, I though for certain that these licenses were active for 90 days. It wasn't until I was a few hours into troubleshooting, a bunch of extra grey hair and a bit of a headache that I came across some random content creator's video where he went on about Forscan but mentioned that it was only valid for 60 days. Of course, a small yet brightly lit lightbulb flashed and I figured the license must be expired.
So, after that the many hours I spent trying to figure out exactly what was going (at that point I almost swapped my Eero mesh routers out for my old Asus router as I was dead set on it being some sort of connectivity issue), all that was needed was a simple request for a new extended license.
It still seems odd though, I don't recall ever having this issue in the past. I'm almost 100% certain any time that I've booted up forscan and I was running an extended license that was expired, it would simply provide me with an error stating that it was not longer valid. But of course, I'm getting old and could be dreaming...
I apologize, once again for having wasted your time and thank you so much for the response!

Your Welcome and I never consider any reply to a question a "Waste of Time " if the result is favorable to the questioner! The Trial license as far as I know has always been Two Months/60days(And I have been here since the Beginning of the licenses and since the origins of this Forum in 2014 and FORScan since just after launch in 2011)!
I do not ever remember seeing an error message alerting to the licence expiry whether Trial Or Paid unless I opened the Wheel Icon and looked(I mostly use Paid now and will have to use the Current workaround through Ayim Kutit in March when my current Paid license expires)!
I usually get reminded when attempting a process that requires a license!
I am getting old too(73 in April and retired since 2017) and have probably tried to bend too many Tractor draw-bars with my shins and have too many bumps on my skull from combine straw-walkers(Worked many years in Agricultural repair work)!
