On November 21th, 2024 Google removed our developer's account and all applications from Google Play Market. As a result, license authorization through Google Play services doesn't work anymore: now, the error "This copy of the application is not licensed" is thrown on every run of FORScan Lite for Android Google Play Edition.

This problem will occur for users who purchased FORScan Lite on Google Play Market, only in the following cases:

1. After application's re-installation or transfer to another device.

2. On periodic license check (quite rare event that doesn't happen more than 1-2 times per year).

The problem shouldn't occur on the application update from our site, if the new version is installed over the old one (without removal of the old version). But unfortunately, we are unable to gurantee it.

Considering that Google has announced a refusal to provide Google Play services to Russian developers since 12/26/2024, we've decided to do NOT recover our Google Play account. Therefore, we suggest that users who encounter this problem switch to using FORScan Lite for Android Independent Edition. How to switch:

А. Obtain Google Play order transaction number. For this purpose, please log in to the Google Payments under the account you used to purchase FORScan Lite!, find FORScan Lite there, then find the transaction ID (it starts from "GPA.") and copy it. Example:


Attention! The Google Payments record all payments and the record cannot disappear from there even if the application is removed from the phone and from Google Play Market. So, if your Google Payments don't show FORScan Lite order, then it means that you either look in a wrong place or the order was made using another Google account.

Alternatively, you can obtain the transaction ID from Google Play purchase confirmation email, if you are able to find one:


B. Generate Independent Edition license using the automated service Switch FORScan Lite for Android license.... Please carefully read the instructions displayed by the service and follow it precisely.

C. Download and install FORScan Lite for Android Independent Edition as the following:

C1. Enable "Install from unknown sources" option in the Android settings

C2. Download the application from our site (link).

C3. Install the application. When you try to run the APK, the Google Play Protection will show a warning that claims that this application was built for older version of Android (that is true) and doesn't fit to Google high security requirements (that is not true). It will offer to refuse the installation. You need to be persistent at this stage and select "More options" first, then "Install anyway".

C4. Enter the Activation code. We recommend to copy & paste, to avoid typos.

FYI, this was not the case for my US based Google account. https://play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory did not have FORScan listed but I was able to find the email from the purchase and retrieve the order number there.

Maybe Bitcoin could be an option to sell licenses. Using lightining network would be easy for the users.

FYI, this was not the case for my US based Google account. https://play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory did not have FORScan listed but I was able to find the email from the purchase and retrieve the order number there.

It won't be in the playstore order history, but will be in your payment history page.

Hallo.seit heute tritt dieses problem bei mir auch auf. leider kann ich die Android Independent Edition nicht mit meinem google code aktivieren, ich kann über die tastatur keinen punkt (nach GPA ) und keine 0 einfügen. wenn ich es kopiere lässt er diese zeichen weg. gibt es eine lösun? andere Tastatur hilftauch nicht.

I'd just like to add that my copy of Forscan Lite that was purchased through Google Play store years ago suddenly stopped working. The purchase also disappeared from my purchase history on the play store.

Fortunately, I was able to locate the invoice number from an email receipt. If anyone is looking for their invoice number in their emails the email was from "Google Play<googleplay-noreply@google.com>" with the subject line: "Your Google Play Order Receipt from [DATE]"

The body begins with "Thank you. You've made a purchase from Alexey Savin on Google Play."

I was able to generate a new code using the instructions, but only because I had the email.

Auch ich habe das Problem das im Code die null nicht übernommen wird. Ich kann aber Zahlen 1-9 eintragen.

Its disappeared from my google history as well and cant find email.... I have the paid extended license but it would still be nice to have it for the Android once in a while especially since it's paid for.
