Recently, we have received several reports from users indicating compatibility issues when connecting FORScan via the vLinker FS USB adapter on a MacBook. The specific issues are as follows:

When running in a CrossOver/Wine environment:
- FORScan fails to detect the vLinker FS device.
- The system does not correctly recognize the USB serial port (COM port).
- Driver installation fails.

**Cause of the Problem:**
Compatibility layer tools like CrossOver only support running certain Windows applications on macOS but come with the following key limitations:
- They cannot fully replicate the Windows system environment, including support for low-level hardware drivers.
- They are unable to correctly load USB-to-serial drivers (e.g., FTDI/CH340).

As a result, in the CrossOver environment, FORScan is unable to communicate properly with vLinker FS.

**Recommended Solution:**
Run a complete version of Windows using a virtual machine (e.g., VMware or Parallels) [recommended].

I had installed the forscan and blink FS adapter and used normally last year on my MacBook Pro running windows 11 pro thru parallels VM. This month I formatted my Mac and updated to Windows 11 Pro version 25H2 .
i reinstalled the Forscan following the steps of the procedure listed here. But, when I came to the vLinker FS USB Adapter, I connected to the Mac, and I can see it under Device Manager, but I have to Update the driver. I follow the steps by downloading the ARM driver for D2XX Direct Divers at https://ftdichip.com/drivers/d2xx-drivers/ , but when I try to update I just get a message "WINDOWS COULDN;T INSTALL VLINKER FS" , "THE WINDOWS COULDN'T LOCATE THE DRIVERS FOR MY DEVICE". and for sure I am locating the unzipped folder of the downloaded driver.

As I told before I already installed it and used last year with no issues.

Any help?
