I want to flash the DDM in a 2003 town car back to stock AB. They commonly fail. I have ver. 2.4.17 beta installed but I see no option to flash the driver door module back. No tab. Any help is appreciated. I think probably the Epsom or other memory in these gets corrupt. Symptoms is door ajar when it's not which causes interior lights to stay on, can't program fobs etc. Need some help to flash thr module with the forscan beta, thanks

PWM networked Modules are not yet available for Firmware update(PMI/Reflash in IDS) in FORscan! Asbuilt data should be accessible and loadable in the Configuration and Programming Icon! Firmware or AsBuilt should be the last thing performed when all the below is diagnosed first!

Does the DDM show up in the Modules Tab under the PWM network(shows it it is communicating with FORScan) if so have you run the self Test(Clip Board Icon) and any DTC's involving the DDM been corrected and cleared!

Have you run the DDM live data PID's(Oscilloscope Icon) to check Door ajar switch function( Example of a Ajar switch PID: Drivers Door Switch Status/D_DR_SW other Doors are similar)!

If you have not done any of the above then the symptoms you are describing have not been properly diagnosed!

The Symptoms you describe are more commonly caused by door ajar switch plungers stuck in the ajar position due to old congealed grease or corrosion(have had three vehicles with this condition)! See .png image below for an example of an ajar switch located in the Door latch assembly!
It most is most common on the Drivers door but can happen on any of the doors, the trunk remote fuel door etc!

The Remote fob programming in my experience will not be entered on the 4 times(some are 5 times) on off ending in run with lock and unlock cycle of the door locks to indicate Fob programming is entered and enabled, if any of the doors show as open/ajar switches stuck!

Those are the things that need to be checked first before any AsBuilt or Firmware is attempted!

Appreciate your time and response. I agree troubleshooting is a logical process that should be followed. This is my 6th town car and it is a common failure of the DDM. This happened when i was literally sitting in the car with my laptop attached using forscan to change the easy exit setting on the seat module. 5 min prior to that the interior lights worked normal and no door ajar message this is a common DDM failure for the town car. I just was hoping a flash would be a way to fix it. Of course swapping the DDM with a known good module fixes it too. without replacing any door switch.
