Hi, I want to perform the “injector calibration” command via ForScan app on my Mazda cx3 diesel. Does anyone know if before performing it, I must have been driving the car for at least 15 minutes or if it needs to be done as soon as you switch the engine on?

I don’t understand if the car has to reach a certain temperature or not before performing the command.

Just go for it. If it requires certain conditions it usually prompts you first.

Don't just go for it.

The car needs to be up to operating temperature so use the EOT , 80°C, this means the whole of the engine is up to temp, not just the coolant as the oil lags the coolant temp. Instead of idling the engine, its best done when you get in from work, takes about 15- 20 minutes, all accessories off including the radio etc and feet off the pedals, steering with no lock.. Just sit there and read a book.
The Rpm will rise to about 1850 and give a quick spike to 3k I think. I have never got a definitive answer from my dealer as for when the injectors are showing good or faulty. What he did say was 100 should be the maximum differential if faulty, which is going some considering they go from +1 to -1, so that could be misleading info and they are not allowed to give away Mazda secrets.

Has anybody tried Fuel Injector Adaptation using Forscan.
What does it actually do?
Is it sucessfull?
I did read somewhere that somebody tried it on a Ford diesel and it horlixed the engine for a while.

I understand the 1.5 engine is slightly different to the 2.2d other than size?
I got the impression th injectors are different.
Does yours have a DPF?
If so how is the DPF regenerated to clean it?
Does it have AdBlue injection?

Do you have DOF codes come up?

Yes just go for it. If it won't work one way try the other. He would hve figured tht out before you even responded.
