Hello!

I drive a 136hp Ford e-Transit Custom. Good vehicle, slowish charging (max 120kW), and abysmal 112kph top speed.
VW has now released the T7 (= tranist custom platform) that can charge with up to 160kW. Dont think that can be changed via ForScan, but thats not the important bit.
From what i recall is that the 218 and 300hp e-Transits all share the same motor, the 218 and 300hp cars both drive >150kph.
I have acquired the AsBuilt Data from a 218hp Transit Custom via Motorcraft with a VIN from the FORD Showroom, so theoretically i have this data available

Question is:
How can I motivate that 136hp e-Transit to drive a bit faster?
The live data-stream of the PCM has a stream that claims a Speed limit of 112kph.
I already changed the PCMs AB-Data to the 218hp transit and reconfigured the PCM via the service ops, but top-speed is unchanged.

Maybe someone has an idea or already did it.

Whether the motor is the same or not the rest of the electronics may not be and you will be running the risk of shining or damaging it if you don't check it it's safe to do so.

Anything from the battery, cables or the cooling system and other hardware may not be compatible with carrying more current.

Research first

Good point about the wiring loom, inverters and what not.
They are atleast identical to the 218hp machine from what i can gather.

From personal experience when in tow-mode the car can very well do 75% load (the Power-Graph goes from 0 to 100%, which at 100kW means 75kW load then) for a very long time without a problem. I actually towed a 2.2ton trailer for 220km with a single charge stop and had no sign of overheat.
To me that means a raised speed limiter to 130 or 140kph should not negatively influence the car in anyway.

Yeah that's what I would probably go for.
The power difference would be very minimal when simply running a little faster top speed.
