I've recently acquired a topdon Rlink J2534 Adapter.
Works USB pass-thru to various VMs and OE Software pretty well.

Used to do diagnostics and read/write as built data into modules on 2011 Ford Fusion and 2017 Ford Explorer.
Just download beta, will test with beta features and more vehicles as time goes on.

Will update with results of Module reprogramming with beta, I have a PSCM need to replace this week. Will attempt PMI/reprogram.

So far successfully used with:
fjds
ids(patched-for-j2534)
ODIS-E/S
iHDS(honda)
SSM(subaru)
forscan
alfaodb
Techstream
vmware passthru works

All in all really impressed with this J2534 adapter for the price.

@dv8ai, so it does work with the IDS software? TopDon told me that it will not work with the IDS Software and that is the only reason i have not purchased it yet. can you clarify your statement on this post, please.

thanks.

I have used it with forscan to update modules. Also the vlinker works without any problems. Topdon rlink j2534 works with ford FJDS and FDRS, but i strongly recommend do not use FDRS on older vehicles than 2020+ :!: if you want to update modules. Not that topdon does not work, the problem is that FDRS will let you update your modules on older vehicles with the latest and greatest calibration levels and voila, your modules are bricked and you will have a hard time recover them back. IDS is not working with topdon. (i don`t know with patched versions) IDS is for VCM/2/3/VMM only
If you use rlink on older cars to update or reprogram modules, use only FJDS with rlink j2534.
