Adaptive cruise control calibration

Short stroy:
Why i dont have C-CM calibration in my latest version Forscan?

Long story:
Ok, let me start from the beginning so you are fully up to date with the situation.

My Ford Ranger 2017 3.2 Auto had fully functional adaptive cruise control from the factory. At some point, it just stopped working.

After a detailed inspection, it looked like the radar module itself became loose and was rattling around, after which the whole system stopped working. I reattached the module properly, but adaptive cruise still did not work.

My suspicion was that the radar module got damaged while it was loose. Even the sticker on the module says “replace if dropped”.

I then ordered another OEM radar module (used, but same part number). Unfortunately, it still did not work, even when the dealer tried to calibrate it. The calibration process itself completed without errors, but at the very end it simply said “Adaptive cruise not available”.

Later upon closer inspection i noticed that radar itself wasnt perfecty leveled at all. I did fixed that now but now i cant find anywhere in FORSCAN C-CM calibration =,) I could swear that i had it before. Removed in newer version or is it possible that my tinkering around Forscan just rendered it "invisible"

Always "wise" GPT suggested that after a few failed attempts of calibration, Ford just locks it out so i MUST go to a dealer.

Have been struggling with this for over a year. im willing pay whatever it takes if some remote coding is needed if it helps me solve the problem.

Thanks in advance!

Those modules don't usually fall off by themselves.
I would have a close look at the mounting bracket & bumper area for any damage
You can adjust the vertical but not the horizontal angle & if the horizontal angle is off it will still calibrate but immediately fail
If you were not getting any communication faults with the old module , I would put it back
Don't know if there's a PID in Forscan but IDS & FDRS have a PID in CCM for Horizontal angle & if its over 5deg it wont work properly

PS: you need to have the vehicle on a level surface & hold a small level ( or digital angle meter) on the face of the module to adjust vertical
I have have corrected horizontal angles in the past by shiming the bracket using the PID as a guide

i relocated it years back because of a steel bumper, so that is totally on me.
I did try the old module back. But i got 2 extra DTCs that are related with alignment, even if the module itself is perfectly centered. I dont get these on the new one.

New module is aligned with digital level within 0.1 to 0.2 degree

After i loaded new profile from Forscan, C-CM finally showed up. Now i can run the calibration of it, goes well, but "adaptive cruise not available" persists.

DTC that i have for new C-CM is U2300:64-AF, so i figured its because new radar isnt paired with the car itself?

Im trying to do just that by following the tutorial i found online, and the part where they do just that they can go into easy mode, but im stuck only with AS BUILT.

this is the link of the whole tutorial https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/attachme ... df.149981/

So if i got this right, as soon as i "pair" new radar with the car, i should be able to run calibration successfully. I hope.

Have you checked if the VIN is properly programmed in the new module?

that is the problem. I cant do that as i dont have C-CM easy mode, only AS BUILT

The changes can be done in as-built as well. You have to convert your ASCII format VIN code into HEX. Just google ASCII to hex converter and put in your VIN.

Or you download your as-built via motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt and load that into the CCM.
