Missing PID's

Hi,
I have a Ford Ranger 2014 that im trying to diagnose the DPF regen on, I dont seem to get the same PID's as others are able to get in the dash and oscilloscope views. I for example have DP_DPF_2 which is constant 0 even after having replaced the senors, at the same time others have reported to have DP_DPF pid which in their cases show an value. I also dont have that sensors outout votlage, which also others are having.
What determines what pid's are available for a certain car, is that kept in a database in the software or is it somehow read from the modules during connection?
