I have a 2022 Explorer and everything associated with the power liftgate quit. Ran FORScan and found the RGTM module had numerous DTC's including internal electronic failure. Replaced the module and flashed it with the same calibration, strategy and loaded the as built configuration. Car now recognizes liftgate again and will unlatch and relatch and I can manually open, but it will not power open or close. I am still getting DTC's B1555:29-0A and B1556:29-0A for invalid signal from the position sensors 3 and 4. Attempted RGTM self tests and it fails due to "invalid vehicle conditions" I do not have access to anything that will tell me which are position sensors 3 and 4, or how to test them. I am assuming they are encoders in the lift motors? I am not a professional mechanic, so any advise would be greatly appreciated.

thank you.

Thank you, that narrows it down to definitely the lift motors. I wasn’t positive if it was that, or maybe a latch position or who knows what. Now I just need to figure out how to test them to see which is bad.

Also, I was wondering if there is somewhere that I can verify that I loaded the correct program? I know how to find the as built data on the motorcraft site, but not sure how you verify that you have the latest and greatest calibration and strategy?
