Hello,

I have ford focus MK3, i bought an st headlights.
the st headlights work perfectly when plag and play them.

The problem: after 5-10 Min of working the xenon shut down and turn on light problem or burn bulb indicator.

i know from VW GOLF that when you install Xenon headlights you need to coding them in the car system.

Q1: i cant find my car model in ford-scan ( i have download the newer version), How i find my car?

Q2: How i coding the headlight ?

Best regards

First of all, do you get any error codes (DTC) in Headlamp modle when the problem happens? If no, DTC section should say "No DTC" for this module.

We are planning to implement the headlamp alignment and calibration for Focus 3 in the next version, but we are not sure if it is enough to remove the problem. If calibration is required, the headlamp module usually throws the error. If there is no error, it may be not a calibration problem. If installing headlamps from ST requires vehicle configuration change, FORScan will be unable to do it (for now).

Thanks for the answer

when i plug the Headlight and turn on i get no error, after 10 min the xenon low beam shut down and i get a burn lamp sign in the dash.

after switch of the lights and switch on back again, the lamp warning vanish and all back to normal for another 7-10 min.

(its my brother car) in my VW GTI i hade the same problem until i code the headlamps to xenon.

what actions should i do to enter coding it ? (sorry this is my first steps with FORDscan software)

Thanks

First fo all you should read DTC codes when the problem happens. Connect to vehicle, go to the DTC section - it should show all errors in all modules FORScan was able to read. Save it to TXT file and post here.
