problem connecting to ford focus

I bought a elm 327 500k downloaded the software, but it won’t connect to my car. If connects to the adaptor ok but says it can’t find the vehicle, help please I need to recode my injectors. my car is a 2004 ford focus 1.8 TDCI

But the only way to find out for sure is to email us internal FORScan logs as described on the Contact Us page.

Yes, OBLDLink SX should work.

Also as a cheaper alterntaive, we recently tested this adapter:

It is based on china clone but the board is good quality (successfully tested by us on all Ford protocols supported by FORScan now). Also it has HS/MS switch (although you don't need for Focus Mk1) and works on speed up to 500Kbps (USB version).

Many thanks. The eBay seller I got the adaptor from sent me a replacement adaptor, then replacement was UK made instead of Chinese like the original. It works perfectly.
