Older vehicles freeze frame

Post by oldbod »

Just wondered if there was a timescale yet for implementing the display of freeze frame information on pre-2007 vehicles?

As an aside, and appreciate that this is quite a significant effort enhancement request, but occasionally it would be really useful to track a number of instances of a faultcode being triggered. Would it be possible to optionally write a log record whenever a code was flagged together with freeze frame information? or perhaps you could identify a good candidate for a macro language to work with forscan on windows and other supported platforms... (said it was a significant effort request!)

Majority of Ford models prior to 2007 model year utilize OBDII freeze frame functionality. We are hopeful to implement it relatively soon (although this task is not top priority in our list). As for freeze frame for non-OBDII DTC, it is not in neareset development plans because, first, it is quite time-consuming task and second, "native" freeze frames are available not for all models.
