Hi Forum.
Using latest forscan does someone know how to better diagnose/troubleshoot P2006 on a 2005 Expedition? I already changed the IMRC but I cant make P2006 go away.
If this is the wrong forum, please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

P2006 is indicating a Manifold Runner control Butterfly set being stuck closed on the RH bank(Bank 1 being the cylinders in the firing order containing number one cylinder. No. 1 is the front or first cylinder/Spark plug on the RH Bank as viewed from the drivers seat)!
The Diagnostic is to load the IMRC Read PID's and load the IMRC Control PID (Oscilloscope Icon under PCM PID's see attached Screen)
With that Control section loaded once you set the PID to run with the "Play button" you can turn the IMRC on or off to see if the the
Read monitor section changes(IMR control status PID and the Monitor voltage PID reading) and also if possible you can get in there to observe the actual movement of the Physical manifold runners while you or someone operates the control section(Pain in the#@&^$! I know)!
If they will not move still or move but the sensor value does not change(The Fault PID should reflect this) you will have to disconnect the operating rods one at a time, to isolate the the runner flaps and see if the motor will actually move without a flap connected or both connected to determine whether you are dealing with a stuck flap(These have been known to vibrate, wear out the bushing holes in the manifold runner, break and only part of the flaps actually operate/or bind inside the Manifold)! A broken flap shaft will be more difficult to find but being the DTC is isolated to the RH bank sensor it is most likely on the RH side of the intake manifold!
Manifold replacement is the usual fix for this type of malfunction!
If the motor does not move even disconnected you have an electrical problem between the IMRC and the PCM(will need a wiring diagram/Connector Pin outs and some continuity testing equipment) or in the PCM itself(could and should usually be accompanied by some other malfunctions and DTC's)!
Hope this was helpful?

Re: How to better troubleshoot P2006 with forscan
i realize this is an older thread and not trying to hijack it but i'm having a little trouble accessing the IMRC on/off function on my setup. I followed the instructions as quoted below (from previous post/reply):
"The Diagnostic is to load the IMRC Read PID's and load the IMRC Control PID (Oscilloscope Icon under PCM PID's see attached Screen)
With that Control section loaded once you set the PID to run with the "Play button" you can turn the IMRC on or off".
After doing that, i am able to get the data in the dashboard and table tabs but the IMRC control window with the on and off buttons will not display on screen after activating the play button (and i have tried with the engine off and running; i also added the RPM as a value and it displays correctly when the engine id running. so what am i doing incorrect or what am i missing. thanks
