I had a conversation with a guy from vgatemall support for about 20 days, probably because I offered to test their adapter with hub so they proposed me to try the new modified version, they were kind, this is my feedback.. I hope they can read what you have indicated and that they can contact you as soon as possible to explain the latest tests and their results. Thanks also to you from forscan for the wonderful work you do with this software. Thanks!

It's not just MSI PC's, it won't work on my Lenovo Thinkpad X280 either, I'll reach out to VSGate about it and see how it goes. I get an unrecognised/malfunctioned USB device error when I connect it, the port works fine with other USB 2.0 & 3.0 devices and my vlinker worked ok on a friends laptop too and mine via a hub but that's an extra failure point I'm not comfortable with.

I've now confirmed this on a second Lenovo, and X13 Yoga Gen 1 this time.

The packaging of the new and old products is currently the same. We will differentiate the products based on market and customer feedback. The old equipment is only incompatible with USB interfaces on some computers. Both devices have the same functions. If you have purchased the old equipment and encounter compatibility issues on your computer, you can contact support@vgate.com.cn and tell us your computer model. We can replace it for you for free.

I just ordered an FS USB on Amazon on 5/24/25 here in the US, will I likely get a new (updated) unit or an older problematic unit?
