I was prompted to update the vlinker firmware when connecting to Forscan (v2.366) .. now it wont connect! That is, it failed halfway through the process, reporting a update failure. Its invisble to the PC now.
Anyway it can be flashed/recovered?

Re: Forscan vlinker USB update crash corrution
Thanks, yes, I did email prior, but given it failed within forscans update dialogue, its of relevance to give a heads up here if nothing else for other people.
I have actually recovered it to a working state again . I used Vlinker's firmware utility. found it on a COM port. Whats interesting is; if I use the USB option, it failed repeatedly on update too! On a hunch, I let it update as if a Bluetooth device and it completed okay! And so far, everything works (via USB).
I wonder if in fact within Forscan, it updates using the USB option and failed in the same way as in the firmware utility? It might explain if switched somehow, Who knows?
