OHP 327 adapter
I cannot get my forscan PC to connect to my OHP327 Is it possible its clone? what OBD2 adapter is most recommended?

A Clone adapter should connect if the adapter setting in the Gear/Connection Icon is correctly set(should be set to either FTDI {Recommended for all FTDI/ELM327 type adapters} or COM{Tricky} rather than "Auto") and the FTDI drivers are installed (See here https://ftdichip.com/drivers/)tlsmith wrote: Fri Aug 15, 2025 9:42 pm I cannot get my forscan PC to connect to my OHP327 Is it possible its clone? what OBD2 adapter is most recommended?
Any Adapter calling itself ELM327 and having an external HS/MSCAN switch is a "Clone" as there are no Genuine ELM327 Adapters in production today! Of the "Clones OHP ELMCONFIG w/MS Switch was probably one of the better clones!
FORScan has progressed far beyond the "ELM327 Clone" adapters capability!
