Flashing sync3 software (eg build 23188) with FMFU

Hey guys,
I am new to this whole stuff and kind of reading myself in.
I got a 'broken' module that has the issue with the rwdata full because of build 23088. As I read the FMFU tutorial I learned that the rom is not flashable. So basically I cannot flash a new sync3 build to my apim, am I right?

If not, are there any other options for me to try? I would be thankful for any advice!

ForScan can't do this, Sync3 is an app running on top of Blackberry QNX Auto, so its not firmware.
Ford FDRS on the other hand can since it has the ability to directly delete files off the APIM and load them in to get you to .23188.
Sounds like your car is going to have to have a spa day at the dealer.

Then buy a 2-day FDRS license and work on it by yourself (plus update some modules, if you need/want to).

Some 2019-2024 vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 may experience a programming Error - "INSTL_ERR12" while programming APIM using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) or experience a frozen screen which says "updating system software" or no progress/response from module using the universal USB updater. This may be due to low memory in the APIM commonly occurring on software level NU5T-14G381-AB/BB. The current software level can be verified in the SYNC tab of Professional Technician System (PTS) or using the vehicle's center display screen, Settings > General > About. To correct the condition, run the universal USB updater. If unsuccessful, using the latest software version of the FDRS scan tool, run the service function "APIM - Reset the Accessory Protocol Interface Module Application" and select "Clear All User Data" option. The center display screen will reboot. As soon as the vehicle's center display screen displays the boot up logo, immediately reinsert the same universal serial bus (USB) drive that was utilized during the prior failed programming attempt.
