sync 3 to sync 4 issues
Hello, after upgrading my sync 3 system with the kit from fordsync4.com, I had to download a bronco profile for the new HVAC module to be reconized in forscan. Now, I have lost some important functions like my trailer control, have the airbag light on, also my steering wheel buttons for voice command don't work. Every time I activate my blinkers, Carplay will go away on my screen. Are there any specific changes I can do in forscan to get those features back?

Re: sync 3 to sync 4 issues
Not done this myself, however when upgrading from sync 2 to 3 there were lots of issues getting it working correctly. Some features never did.
First off id suggest going back to the seller as its a kit and getting their input on why they may have encountered these issues before.
Next id find a car same spec as yours with sync 4 factory fitted and compare the asbuilts from yours to that . Note any differences then try them 1 at a time see if it resolves the problems, you can download asbuilts from Www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt
Finally the issue may well be firmware incompatibility, your car was designed to work with sync 3 not sync 4 whilst you may have upgraded the APIM the remaining modules are at a different firmware level and may need updating so they are compatible.
Whilst this is possible with a different version of Forscan, its frought with dangers of bricking your car or the module if it doesn't go to plan. Personally wouldn't take the risk.
So you have a choice to make live with the issues or revert back to sync 3 or await solutions as more people do the conversion.

Re: sync 3 to sync 4 issues
Thanks!! I was able to recover 95% of the functions getting the as built data from a 2021 F150 platinum with similar features. The only thing that bothers me is that my GPS keeps going away every time I change lines. I'm wondering if this is new for SYNC4 or if there is a way to disable that.
