2008 F150 5.4 limp mode

Post by lonslo »

Good afternoon im new to the forum. I just bought this truck, last week the belt tensioner failed. When that happened it took out the short wiring harness to the fan clutch. I replaced the belt and tensioner along with the idler pulleys and the harness. Since then the engine is running in limp mode with some codes. I have cleared them. And they come back instantly.

P0020-p intake camshaft position actuator bank 2
And P0135/P0155 o2 sensor heater circuit sensor 1 (both banks)

Sound to me like you hve some open circuits.
I would start by doing the usual checks on them with a meter, continuity/load/short.
Also check other wires weren't damaged near by which may be frayed.
In some vehicles it's easy to test from the pcm end in order to check the whole circuit in one go. But they aren't always that accessible.
I would also say if you haven't, then check all the fuses.
