I was curious what everyone's preference was on who makes the best Automotive Battery Chargers (and why - what features make it better in your opinion)?
I also wanted to know - which chargers with a 12v supply mode were great choices - for those interested in preserving the computer/module memory when replacing or disconnecting a battery.
This topic has been covered on other forums and there are many opinions. Two common recommendations are Ctek and Noco. You need to buy the proper size for your application. These modern solid state devices do fail more frequently than the old transformer type chargers. 10 amp is a reasonable size for maintaining the battery during long programming sessions (like flashing firmware). Smaller sizes work well for normal Forscan sessions.

Thanks for the info!
I had searched around the forums but I wasn't sure if the answers had changed due to some of the threads being much older. Good to know!
