Hello , my car came from USA with only just one key , is it possible to add new or used (from other car) a second spare key with forscan ? If yes , any advice to not ground the car ? Thanks

If I remember this is a Coded PATS system and needs a Incode.. Basically as far as I know only dealer or Locksmith with access can get this code

Hello. You need to use the dealer software, to pay the subscription and to have the NASTF subscription too.

Check the listing for which cars the pats function is available with FORScan. Maybe it can do it.

Unless your in the USA then there is no need to go to a dealer, no need for a subscription to nastf or anything else, as that is for USA only. None of that applies to other countries.

Here in Europe you can buy a scantool in a shop that can program keys, or even buy one from ebay for example for the same purpose.

Car was imported from USA to Europe so technically it's USA car but now located in Europe .

Well there's many ways to skin that cat then.

In Europe you can buy a scantool for £330 which comes with 2 blank smart keys. You could program both of them to your car then resell the scantool as used and it would cost you as little as €100 to get two new keys.

If you were near me I would program keys for you. But your likely a 1000 miles away.

As I said above, check the compatibility on the forum to see if it does it for that model and year. If it doesn't you could email forscan support to see if they are going to be adding it in the near future or if there's a reason why they can't.
