I have a ford focus 20101.6 diesel EU market with keyless system.
The car worked fine until the day before but in next morning it's not starting. Engine crank but not start. No error except U1900-20 on IC.
I reworked the IC and put it again on the car again. Now U1900-20 is stored random not persistent. On bench I have only u1900-60.
On IC I have;
"key stored" is 0,
"minimum key needed" in 0 also.
I have 2 key stored on RKE.
On ECM live data "SEC ACCES" (Vehicle Access Security Status) is DENIED.
Engine rpm is over 300
Rail pressure is near 400 bar.
Everything is ok and no dtc on any ecu.
Sometime U1900-20 is not present but engine didn't start too.
if key is too far engine is not cranking at all.
I tried to add key on IC but program say I must do it on RFA Module.
I can't see this module on my car. This mean i'ts dead or some car doesn't have this module?
Please any advice, I will be grateful

Re: SEC ACCES DENIED
The error message is universal (used on multiple car models), but the ECU name may differ. On your car it is RKE, not RFA. So you have to run RKE "Remote Keyless Entry and Start Programming".

Re: SEC ACCES DENIED
I have had this happen on other vehicles that were running yesterday and today, crank but will not fire and start!Jim_83 wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 2:33 pm I have a ford focus 20101.6 diesel EU market with keyless system.

If the vehicle Cranks then the problem is not lost keys in memory or anything to do with the PATS(You have indicated two keys in RKE memory) so trying to program keys is not the path to follow!
If what I suspect has happened SEC denied is happening in your case because the PCM is not being powered in run so the PATS system never gets the OK from the PCM that the vehicle is start-able(Start button pressed without the brake applied in Intelligent access/Pushbutton start)
In my vehicles case it was lost 12V+ connection to the PCM(ECU Some call it) with the same symptoms you describe above!
In my case it was a poor connection on the PCM power relay which provided 12 volts to the PCM with the ignition in RUN and/or start! Engine would crank but not fire! The Relay had a poor/Loose Blade and socket in the Central junction/Fuse box which caused the Relay to energise/Click but not transmit the current to the PCM with key in run(So no ignition and no fuel pump)!
In the Diesel case no fuel lift pump or injection pump!
So the next thing to check would be to find all the 12 Volt + connections to the PCM and make sure you are getting 12 volts( Battery Voltage and You will need a Wiring diagram for connection views and wire colours)! There are probably two and possibly three + Power connections to the PCM!
The PCM Relay is likely located in the Battery Junction Box or BCM/GEM/Smart Junction Box and is fused! Unfortunately I do not have access to a diagram for the Focus Diesel! I only have the Gasoline engine PCM wiring so it probably won't be of much help but try it here: https://charm.li/
Just some ideas that jumped out at me from your problem description!

Thank you both for your advice and the time you dedicate to me.

The main problem is that I have only one key. So I can't perform RKE "Remote Keyless Entry and Start Programming".
However I repeat that I have 2 keys on RKE module already memorised.
If the key is far engine is not cranking.
Remote door lock is working well.
Do I really need to run " RKE "Remote Keyless Entry and Start Programming"?
May I just run "sync ecm" or "sync 2 or more"?
@ Tractmec
My engine crank and I can see all live dato on diag.
I have puel pressure, airfllow, rpm ecc. look ECM.jpeg in first post.

Re: SEC ACCES DENIED
If you have two keys stored and the car cranks then you do not need to program keys.
The fault code is for communication. Fix the communication problem and it'll probably work fine.
Ford clusters are bad for solder joints at rear of cluster.
Hope it helps.
