DDS to store

Post by AUSRS »

Hi-

Tried to do due diligence but does anyone know if Australian 2017 Focus RS will take DDS?
I have got it to come up on menu using forscan according to the ST forum directions-seemed to flow according to directions.
But when trying to store holding the OK button it flashes not stored for a millisecond and then goes back to my TPMS not detected error ( which i am trying to diagnose with Forscan PIDs-likely dead batteries as I have just purchased the car)-does TPMS have to be working for DDS to store?
I have tried 3 times over two weeks with no success.
Tires are inflated above placard rating.
10/17 build date
Car does not have any known mods
Am able to disable TPMS but would like to get DDS working if available-maybe I am just missing a step.
Thanks

Check all the sensors work before trying to store values.

My mate has a 2016 focus rs and I actually scanned his today for tpms faults and found that both right side wheel sensors were inop. Other two showed ok. He had previously got punctures on both right side tyres at the same time. The sandal depth tyres probably allow the decapitation of the sensor's when the tyres flat and road surface not smooth.

Thanks for that. That is the problem then, because Forscan shows one sensor at 93kPa which I know is not correct- all others good.

Kinda defeats the reason I wanted to go to DDS, if i have to get TPMS working; probably should have figured that out myself but just wanted to confirm that if the sensors aren't working then DDS will not store.

Need to find some cheap sensors and a buddy with a tire changer....

Find someone who can program autel brand tpms sensors.
They are only about £28 uk each which is better price and good quality item.
