I have a 2017 F150. I was getting a Pre-collision not available warning.
The vehicle came with an aftermarket bumper so I found the adaptive cruise radar unit had been moved. I didn’t like the way it was mounted (a bit flimsy) so I moved it and recalibrated. The problem went away for a couple days and came back intermittently.
I bought a new radar unit and used Forscan to download the “as built” programming for it. Again the problem went away for several days but now has intermittently returned.
Every time I turn the truck off it resets and works for awhile.
During one period of it not working, I left the truck running and played with the wire connections to see if it would fix the problem. They didn’t seem to have any effect.
Any ideas of where to go next?
