OBD2 not clearing code on ICC BF MK2 XR6 Ford Falcon

Post by james waldron »

Gday,

I have connected my OBD2 to my 2007 BF MK2 XR6 Ford Falcon and ran the ACM module calibration so I could clear the 'code' error from the new ICC unit I installed in my Falcon (have swapped the BCM unit). The software says the calibration was successful yet the 'code' error has not cleared.

If anyone could help that would be much appreciated, thanks.

Have you had someone remove PATS from the PCM?

Firstly, what was done to the car for CODE to start displaying?
Has some dickhead pup one of those stupid pop bang tunes on? Often they have PATS disabled. If PATS is disabled, some programming functions fail.
If you have a junk elm cable, they can be a problem too, but sometimes work ok on BF.

The old ICC has dry solders, causing the center console to not work along with the radio and aircon. So a new unit was put in as a replacement, making sure to swap BCM between the two units. car is completely stock, no stupid tunes. Used a brand new OBD2. How would PATS be disabled in the first place, and how would you enable it again?

Typical ICC problems
What is the cable your using? Some of the stupid generic chinese devices sold by OBD2 Australia (a chinese company with no real address in Australia) are just junk. Exactly what do you have?
If PATS has been disabled, you need the vLinker FS usb cable, a paid licence & 2.4.20beta to reprogram the PCM. Erases & reporgrams the PCM.
