Good day,
I am unable to access the BCM - Central Configuration (Main).
I can access everything else, comms working.
I've done the following:
Purchased FORScan for Windows Extended License.
Downloaded F1FT-14C097-AA.VBF from https://www.motorcraftservice.com/.
Converted it to .ABF file type.
Copied it to the desired file location - "C:\Users\Nici Thinkpad\OneDrive\Documents\CalibrationFiles\F1FT-14C097-AA.VBF"
Is there anything that I'm missing?
Thanks,
Nici.

Re: ERROR LOADING SBL TO PRIMARY FOLDER
I am not sure what you mean by "Converted to .ABF" as there should be no need to convert calibration files to any other format!roets.nici wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 12:49 pm Good day,

The only thing that may and likely will be needed is to "Unzip" the file that downloads from fordserviceinfo or Motorcraft service which may extract a file folder which contains the SBL in .vbf extension format (F1FT-14C097-AA.vbf in this case)! If so, that folder will need to be opened and the .vbf file inside it copied to the Calibration files folder!
This file above was also contained in an archive FORScan compiled in this link: http://forscan.org/download/CalibrationFiles.zip (May be necessary to Right click and Use save link As) in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1932!
Downloading and unzipping that Archive into your Documents Folder would have created that calibration files folder!
The other thing is the Folder and file path you have posted contains "onedrive" which FORScan will not look in automatically in the background for calibration files!
The calibration files folder FORScan normally uses and expects the files to be in, is in your Documents Folder and may need to be created if it does not exist( example C:\Users\Nici Thinkpad\Documents\CalibrationFiles\F1FT-14C097-AA.VBF")! Not One drive! Any calibration files in the One Drive folder will need to be copied into the Calibration Files folder in your documents folder(again Created in your Documents folder if it does not exist)!
If you open the Firmware up date section for a module like the BCM(which would use that particular SBL) and choose "Custom" in the drop down menu, the buttons next to the red lights will open a folder dialog(Load From File) with a "Browse Button" where you can do a folder navigation and search for the .vbf files and find out where they actually are!
This "Custom Process" works for Firmware updates and Module Programming(Have done this for PCM replacement) but I am not sure you can get Central Configuration(CC) to work this way? I do not have a CC vehicle here to test!
That is what I see that you might be missing?
Hope that was not just confusing?
