Ford Fiesta MK7 Service Oil Reset Problems

Post by DeadlyKitten »

Hi, does anyone know why ForScan doesn't have a service oil reset feature? My car needs a service reset and pedal trick won't work for some very weird reason.

The pedal trick needs to be timed right.
Some ford you push the pedals first and other you turn the key on first.

On a Mazda 6 2.2d following an oil change I can reset the oil dilution value and mileage of oil back to zero using Forscan in Service section. Ith the Mazda tou have to earth a particular spare fuse position in the under bonnet fuse board.
Whether this is the same with the Ford , I don't know, but it allows independant garages to service Mazdas correctly. I actually wrote to Mazda and explained the situation and they sent me a line diagram to show the location from which you earth the system.
Used it many times. So it may be worth you writing to Ford Head Office, not a dealer, for the same information giving them vin number of the car, which will give them everything about the car they need.

Found this. No idea if it's correct for your car but, it is similar to many other Fords.
