There are no tests that I know of. Of course you must have the proper hardware. I remember I had to configure the APIM when I installed a HD radio (HD for FM stations). The display showed when the HD station information so I knew it was working.

Perform a System Reset
A 2011 Ford C-Max DAB radio can freeze or lose signal due to software errors, often after Bluetooth use.
Soft Reset: With the radio on, press and hold the Power button (center of the volume knob) and the Seek Right button simultaneously for 10 seconds.
Hard Reset: Disconnect the negative terminal of the car battery for 3 to 5 minutes. This forces the modules to restart and clear cached data.
